What do we look for during a site visit?

Many parts of a feasibility study can be done on a computer. For example, we can analyze topographic information, see where streams are, and identify property boundaries. However, there’s no replacement for seeing areas in person where you can get a feel for how conditions might be changing over time, how an area feels, and note opportunities and constraints along a greenway corridor. Our McAdams team and Town staff have been all over town walking and mapping these corridors. We’re documenting what we find so we can make the most informed decisions about how these greenways will be designed in the future. All of this analysis will result in multiple route options to weigh against each other and select the best options. We’ll have more to share soon.
