September 2026 Project Update

After a summer of engineering and planning, the Bolin Creek Greenway Extension is almost 90% designed. The design and engineering phase is expected to be complete and ready to bid in spring of 2027, with construction starting soon thereafter. Funds have been set aside for the construction of the new greenway which, when complete, will add a half mile of paved trails for walking and biking in Chapel Hill and extend the Bolin Creek Trail toward Estes Drive Extension where it will eventually connect with other future improvements!
